FAQs

We get SO many clients that say they were never told how to avoid ingrown hairs or how to care for their skin after the wax. They are also not told why they need to keep coming back. We are different from so many others because one of the most important aspects of the whole waxing process is EDUCATION. We teach clients why it is important to stay consistent, how important aftercare is, how to get the best results, and how to prepare before they even come in. Having an educated, comfortable, and confident customer is our number one priority!

GROW THE HAIR OUT (the hair should be about the length of a grain of rice; 3-4 weeks of hair growth)
Take a shower the night before your appointment & exfoliate the area (scrub, exfoliating glove, dry brush)
Plan your outfit accordingly. Comfort is key… loose, breathable clothing is best
If getting a Brazilian Wax: Get comfortable with being exposed. To wax the front, we will put you in a butterfly/diamond position, and to wax the back, we will have you bring your knees to your chest or lie on your side.
Be prepared to do aftercare. Exfoliate at least three times a week. Wax on a consistent cycle every 4-6 weeks. Potentially purchase aftercare products and apply them daily. All of this is absolutely necessary if you want the smoothest results!

We have several techniques and strategies to get you through any discomfort and we walk you through every step of the way.
-
First off, we aren’t here to judge anyone. On average we complete 12+ Brazilian Waxes each day, it's truly just a part of the job for us. Second, we aren't really looking at your body, we are looking at your hair; trying to strategize the quickest and most effective way to remove it. We will talk to you the entire time, it will feel as awkward as an eyebrow wax. i.e., not awkward at all.

Yes! You can be more sensitive during pregnancy so the sooner you can get started, the better off it will be. We have ways of positioning you so you are comfortable, please put into the waiver form how far along you are so we can have the room ready to go when you arrive.
-
Yes! Some people are more sensitive during their lady time, or a few days before or after. Taking an Advil or Ibuprofen an hour prior to your appointment should help combat any extra sensitivities.
We require that you have a fresh tampon or reusable cup in during any Brazilian Waxing appointments - we always have tampons and wet wipes available in the bathroom if you need to freshen up.
-
For most body areas, a schedule of every 4-6 weeks is best. Underarms and facial areas can be waxed every 2-3 weeks. The hair needs to be at least the length of a grain of rice in order for the wax to be able to grab hold of it.
-
Aftercare is 80% of your results.
Removing hair completely from the follicle causes brand new hair to grow. These new baby hairs will be finer, softer, and weaker, making it more difficult for them to break through the skin’s surface if there is anything blocking their path (dead skin, oil, dirt, etc.). Exfoliating regularly will ensure the hair's path is clear. Moisturizing will help lubricate the path, making your next wax less painful.
-
We work a couple different days (Wednesday/Thursday, Saturday/Sunday) so scheduling may be your deciding factor.
Otherwise, there's not a huge difference. We learned to wax together, so it's about who you bond with. We have some clients that see us both. Give us each a try and see who you mesh with best!

You’re pregnant, taking birth control, hormone replacement, or antibiotics. Your skin may be more sensitive to waxing
You recently consumed a lot of caffieine. This stimulant in your system can cause skin to be extra sensitive to waxing. Meaning you could become more inflamed than usual after waxing.
Drinking alcohol the day of or night before waxing. Alcohol causes the blood to rise to the surface of the skin and can cause the skin to bruise more easily.
